I'll have to check out some of the others you recommend, especially Matterhorn. I'm really ignorant of blogging stuff and Wiki Commons was the only place I could think of off the top of my head that had images you could legally use.

I really liked "Let's Pretend"- I'm a big cover person and I wanted to read it once I saw the cover. Love the mouse in a cape. I also really liked reading about the relationship she has with her husband- sweet, but odd.365_books_a_yearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01921897822848823960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5324786360124250307.post-15453660363872164062012-06-05T22:37:13.753-07:002012-06-05T22:37:13.753-07:00I'm not sure which I'd read first 1Q84 or ...I'm not sure which I'd read first 1Q84 or Wind-Up. I think 1Q84 because I think part of the joy of the book was having a mystery slowly revealed. I think if you already knew the themes, it might spoil parts of it. But, I read 1984 and 1Q84 at the same time. I also put In a Grove by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa on my TBR after reading 1Q84. It's been at least 20 years since I've read it- I've actually never read it in English. Always in Japanese. Now I can't read Japanese fluently, so it'll have to be in English this time.365_books_a_yearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01921897822848823960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5324786360124250307.post-54804704601359881842012-06-05T22:33:30.312-07:002012-06-05T22:33:30.312-07:00I checked out your list and most of those books ar...I checked out your list and most of those books are on my TBR list or sitting on my shelves. Very interesting. I actually have yet to read the two Murakami and I would love to reread 1984 so maybe I will take you up on this suggestion.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5324786360124250307.post-69733983382139266852012-06-05T11:08:22.908-07:002012-06-05T11:08:22.908-07:00Great post and even better picks!
