How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

This Week's Question: Birthday Wishes -- Blow out the candles and imagine what character could pop out of your cake...who is it and what book are they from?
I haven't looked at anyone else's answer, but I'm going to assume I'm answering in the wrong way. Like it's supposed to be a character you find sexy while jumping out of a cake. So I want to state this now...this is not a character I find dreamy or sexy or smoldering. (I'm boring and married, okay. Plus my son's supposed to help me with the blog and I don't need to pay for years of therapy because he can't get an image of mom getting the hot pants for some guy not his father out of his brain. Even then, I mean, I have 3 kids, so clearly I've only had sex 3 times, okay son? )
The character I want jumping out of my birthday cake is Owen Meany from John Irving's A Prayer for Owen Meany
I have never heard of that book but thank you for sharing!

I'm following you, too. Thanks. My son doesn't willingly help me. He likes to watch me struggle with things for a while. I ask him for help, then he tells me I need to learn how to do it myself. That if I don't learn, I'll always be dependent on other people for help. (He's using my own words against me) Then eventually when I get to the point where I'm going to break something he rolls his eyes and tells me what to do. If I still can't manage it, he sighs and rolls his eyes and taps keys and it's done. (He can type about 80+ words a minute so I can't even see what he's doing.)
DeleteInteresting choice, I have not read the book. Should get on that though :)

Haha aw! I love that you're getting your son to help on the blog and I definitely know the feeling of just wanting to know how a character is. Great answer!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by blog and leaving a comment. The last Southern Vampire Mystery I read was Definitely Dead, but I do own all the books that are out. I'm not for sure who I want Sookie to end up with. I'm not for sure if she'll end up with Eric or Sam. Hopefully, Charlaine will end the series with a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteHaven't heard of this book will have to check it out. I will definitely say that if you haven't read the Vampire academy series...I highly recommend it.
ReplyDeleteLOL, don't blame you there. Hadn't heard of this book might have to check it out.

Eww, you've done it three times, too. My youngest- the girl, is now 4 years old. Someone we know had a baby recently. My youngest son said I'm starting to make the "baby face" again- you know that face you make when you see a cute baby and start thinking you want another one. My son started sticking close by me- wouldn't leave my side. Whenever my husband would even try to hug me, my son would get in between us and say, "I'm birth control."
DeleteOh I'll have to check out Owen Meany :D You son sounds adorable and thanks for wishing me well, it worked D Happy Friday x
ReplyDeleteOwen Meany sounds great...
