300 Followers Giveaway

Enter Giveaway Pictures, Images and Photos

At some point, when I went on hiatus, I hit 300 followers. Now that I feel semi-caught up, I thought, it's finally time to post a giveaway. Thank you all for following me. I've enjoyed visiting all of your blogs and reading your posts. Thank you for making blogging such a fun experience. If you are a new follower, please let me know in comments: link to your blog and I will follow you back. Also, if you are a new follower on Twitter, I'll follow you back within 24 hours.

The prize is a $15 gift certificate to Amazon or Barnes and Noble. As an alternative, for international readers, you can choose a book up to $15 from Book Depository. U.S. winner may also choose a book from Book Depository instead of a gift certificate to Amazon/B&N. If I hit 450 followers on GFC, I'll add another winner. (Identical prize)

Rules:
1. Must be 13 years old.
2. I'm not making it mandatory to follow via GFC or via Twitter, but you must follow me by either GFC or Twitter.
3. Winner must respond within 48 hours and will be notified by email
4. Please confirm that Book Depository delivers to your country before entering: List of Countries

Here's the Rafflecopter thingy: Please let me know if I screwed anything up again.

    1. Thanks for entering. I love Lois Lowry- great choice. Glad you got the Linky to work. I tried to make the giveaway as uncomplicated as possible. Without someone having to do 20 steps to enter.

  2. Yay for 300! Here's to many more hundreds to come!

Hmm...perhaps Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson! I still have to buy a keeper copy! But I am likely to change my mind...never know when there will be a coupon! ;) Hahaha!!

    Congrats!

    1. I have Tiger Lily, but something about it...just can't get past the first few pages. It's not that it's bad, so it must be my mood. But, the cover is so pretty. Definitely a book I'd want on my shelves.

  3. 300? 300! Oh my God, you lucky girl!
Anyway, you obviously deserved it, after I browsed around your site some. Hm. It's so hard to choose a book from my TBR pile, so I'll just go with the amazon gift card. Thanks for the giveaway chance, and oh, don't forget to announce it when you get 365... ;)

    1. Thanks, following you by email. I usually save my gift cards for when I really want a new release book and I'm out of book money for the month. You know- when your library has 300+ requests for a book and it'll take months for it to be your turn to get it. And you feel the need to read that book right now.

  4. I am an international follower! I may go with Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols from the Book Depository.

    Congratulations on all your followers!

    1. Thanks. I really liked Such a Rush. The only thing- thought it was more a "mature" YA read. Like 17+. Wasn't expecting that. But it was a great, emotional type read. The main character was wonderfully done. Old follower of yours.

  5. Congrats!!!! Hitting that mark must've been utterly thrilling!!! You absolutely deserve each and every one of them! :) I think I'll just get the amazon card! >.< Only because I'm not sure what to choose! XD Awesome giveaway!!! I hope you gain more and your life of blogging gets even better!

    Best wishes,

    1. Thanks. I love gift cards too. If I ever win one, I'm tempted to save them up to buy a Kindle. Just the cheap one. Already have a Nook.

Does anyone have one of those $79 Kindles with the ads? Is it really annoying? Do ads pop up all the time while you're reading?

  6. Hi there! Congrats on hitting 300. I'm a relatively new follower via GFC so I'm not sure if you're following me or not. I glanced (very briefly) through my followers and didn't see you, but as I write this I'm realizing that I have two blogs and you may be following the other one. Anyway, if you want to follow I'm at Musings on Fantasia and LKHill. Thanks for the giveaway! :D

    1. Thanks for stopping by my blog's giveaway. I am following you- logged in to GFC. I think maybe the reason I'm not showing up is that people with no profile pictures show up last on the list. So even though I'm pretty sure I followed you last Friday or Saturday during the FF blog hop, I'm probably showing up towards the end of the list. I did update my profile pic, but for whatever reason, it's not updating on any sites where I followed when I had no picture. If that makes any sense. And because I remember your blog name, "Musings on Fantasia"- Fantasia being one of my favorite movies as a kid.

  7. Wooooah, 300! All Spartan jokes aside, CONGRATS! My amazon wishlist is incredibly large, lol! I'd probably weedle it down to either The Book Thief, Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet (pre-order) or I'll just go ahead & pre-order The Third Wheel (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Book 7) for my little bro's bday. Thanks for the giveaway & have a great day! (why yes... I'm into poetry, lol!)

    1. I've been meaning to start the Charley Davidson series (Fourth Grave). I even have book one somewhere...on a shelf, in my Nook...

And aww...on choosing a book for your little brother. My son loves the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series, too. Well both of my sons. I was a teacher, so I always love a book series that gets boys excited to read. Again, just...Aww. Is it wrong to hope you win so little bro can win this book?

  8. Oh, that's easy...Insurgent by Veronica Roth. I just finished Divergent (and by finished, I mean swallowed whole) and I'm dying to read the next one! Thanks for this giveaway and congrats on your growing blog.

    1. I loved Divergent too...except for the part where they were choosing factions. That part kind of made me laugh and thing, "A gross version of Harry Potter and the Sorting Hat." I read Insurgent and was kind of disappointed, but the ending was so good that I'm anxious to read book 3 and see how it all ends.

  9. Congrats on hitting 300 followers! I'd like Divergent by Veronica Roth or The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I love those books :)

    1. Thanks, I loved Divergent, too. Haven't read The Book Thief yet, though.

  10. Congrats on the big 300!!! i would probably get Tiger's Destiny by Colleen Houck

    1. I know I've heard of that book...but haven't read it yet. I just went and looked up the series on Goodreads.
The Tiger Saga by Colleen Houck if anyone else is interested. Wow, all of the books in the series have 4+ star ratings on GR. I'll have to see if my library has book one. Great choice and thanks for mentioning this series. Although my TBR mountain is now a bit larger.

  11. Congrats, but I'm not surprised. I'm an old follower and I love your blog. It's one of my favourites and I always stop what I'm doing to read your posts when they appear in my mailbox. I would probably choose Pushing the Limits. Seen so much about it, and I want to read it.

  12. Congrats on the 300 followers! :D I might get Starling by Lesley Livingston or a preorder of Scarlet by Marissa Meyer since I loved Cinder so so much. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Starling by Lesley Livingston looks great. How is it that even though I blog, I never hear about a lot of books? Like I'm living under a rock or something. But, definitely adding this book to my TBR. Along with Scarlet, which is another great choice.

  13. Congrats! I think I would choose Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

    1. I love her books. Still need to start this series. Great choice. Does anyone know when the next book in the Lux series- which is going to be released in November/December- will start to be available as a preorder?

  15. Awww, rules are you must be thirteen years or over. :( I can't enter. :(

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Sorry!!! I think that's a pretty common rule. I think it has something more to do with the collecting and handling of information. Especially stuff like emails, addresses, etc. The same thing that when you sign up for a website, you can't have an account unless you're like 13. Not because of content or anything, so much as collecting the information.

  16. I am thinking of getting seven highly effective habits for teens. Or maybe a gemma doyle trilogy book.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I've been meaning to read the Gemma Doyle trilogy. It's just the books are really long. Don't mind long books, just don't like them in DTB format. Prefer them as ebooks. But I guess I'm cheap because I really hate paying $10 for an ebook when I could get it from the library for free. Especially an older release because I could get it within a few days- seems like a waste when I only want the book for convenience sake. But, great choice. Heard really great things about the Gemma Doyle series.

  17. Not sure what book, it depends on what I buy prior to the giveaway.

Congratulations on all your followers and thanks for the wonderful giveaway.

    1. Thanks. The contest ends in September...any new releases you're really looking forward to? In September, I'm looking forward to Ken Follett's Winter of the World

I read the first book in Follett's series last year- Fall of Giants - and really liked it. I even bought the ebook because they are long books. About 1000 pages. But it was $20 for the ebook. Even though I'm cheap, I probably will break down and buy Winter of the World- even though it's probably $20 for the ebook, too. I try to justify it because it's like 3 regular books, and I'd pay $10 for a new release. So 3 new release ebooks would be $30, so why wouldn't I spend $20 for a book I really want?

There is this book called The Circle by Elfgren & Strandberg.

But welcome to blogging. It's been a lot of fun for the short time I've been doing it.
