Feature and Follow (6)

Feature and Follow is hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read every Friday. Complete Rules and Instructions are here:

This week's question:

Q: Christmas in July! Someone gives you a gift card for two books (whatever that costs). What two books will you buy?

Now if money is truly no object, then I want a Gutenberg Bible and one of the copies of Songs of Innocence and Experience with the color plates done by William Blake, himself. If you mean something that could be reasonably purchased through a normal bookseller...

Winter of the World (The Century Trilogy #2)

Winter of the World by Ken Follett because the ebook for the first in this series (Fall of Giants) was $19.99

The second book would be one of the out-of-print, hard to find books in the Jeeves and Wooster series by P.B. Wodehouse. Not familiar with the series...

  1. YAY! Hugh Laurie is such an amazing actor. I love Jeeves and Wooster and must check out the books. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

    1. The books are amazing. When I read them, I limit myself to only a chapter or two a day because once I'm done with the books, there are no more. So, I try to stretch out the experience. On the plus side, all of the Wodehouse books will be public domain in 13 1/2 years in Canada and Australia.

    1. I loved Pillars of the Earth, which was my first Follett book and the first 1000 page book I've read since college. I was so sad to see it end and I still love the characters- I miss them, even.

  12. A Gutenberg Bible. Wow! That takes me back to my days playing Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego? on the computer. The printing press in Germany was one of the stops:)
    Great choices!
